Tobias Ellwood, MP for Bournemouth East, has welcomed the Government's decision to extend the £2 bus fare cap until 31 December 2024, bringing the total investment in the cap to £600 million.
Commenting, Mr Ellwood said: "I welcome the news that the £2 bus fare cap will stay in place from next week until the end of next year. Many of my constituents in Bournemouth East rely on bus services to get them from A to B, not to mention the many tourists that visit Bournemouth. This extension will continue to help those hardest hit by the cost of living crisis, ensuring that they can travel freely and affordably."
