Tobias unveils a new sign at Pokesdown Village to mark the history of a ‘forgotten’ part of Bournemouth.
At an event which any village would be proud of there were more than 20 stalls including vintage clothes and goods, vintage steam engines and cars, charity stalls, home-made cakes and more Tobias unveiled the 14 foot high sign which carries the seal of the former Pokesdown Urban District Council.
Pokesdown residents won a £22,000 lottery grant, which paid for the village sign, a local history board, some new benches, trees as well as a number of other items.
