Tobias along with Ward Councillors delivered the petition signed by over 1000 residents in protest at the proposed traveller sites in the Strouden, Throop and Muscliff greenbelt areas of Bournemouth into Bournemouth Town Hall this afternoon.
The petition states:
"We the undersigned strongly object to the proposed development of three permanent gipsy/traveller sites in Strouden, Throop and Muscliff.
Bournemouth has already more than adequately contributed to Dorset's housing numbers and this would be an inappropriate use of much treasured Greenbelt and open space"
Tobias has now handed a copy of the petition in to Bournemouth Borough Council the Department for Communities and Local Government and 10 Downing Street.
