Subject: MP’s Artic Challenge benefits local CRUMBS project

Tobias Ellwood with other MPs took part in the Westminster Arctic Challenge 2007 where in February 2007 a group of intrepid MPs travelled across the Arctic wilderness pulled by husky dog sled for which they were sponsored.
On Friday 11 Nov 2010 at 14:00 hrs Tobias will hand a cheque for £1,500 C.R.U.M.B.S a Boscombe based disability training charity, which offers a workplace, pre-employment programme of learning. Training is undertaken through dedicated baking/ cooking/ service delivery programme, which is accessed by a mixed-disability workforce - unique in the area, with an emphasis on skills and confidence: improving health and employability, to local adults with mental illness and learning disabilities.
Mr Ellwood said
“I am delighted that CRUMBS are going to benefit from the gruelling Westminster Artic Challenge in such a practical way. CRUMBS do a great job in the unique support, training and skills they offer to vulnerable people”.
The Cheque will be handed over at the Crumbs project, 22 Christchurch Road Bournemouth BH1 4BE at 14:00.
